Called To Be Saints

To be a saint of God you must answer the call to:

I.     Know God’s Will             Col 1:9
II.   Walk God’s Walk            Col 1:10
III.   Receive God’s Power   Col 1:11
IV.  Give  God Praise           Col 1:12

Called To Be A Saints  Colossians 1:1-14 

Purpose: To challenge us to answer the call of God and live as saints.

 What is the definition of a saint? To be a saint means to that you have been sanctified or set apart. To be sanctified by God means that God has set you apart for His work. He has taken you away from what you were doing and has designated an assignment and a place for  you in His Kingdom.

Saints are those who answer (abide in) the call of Jesus to the Gospel of God. How do we do that? What does that look like in real life? The answer is in the text, so let’s turn to the text so that we can discover the attributes of a saint of God…

 

1.  What did the sermon say to you?

 2.  (T/F) If the Lord has saved you, He has also called you to be a saint in Jesus’ name.

3.  Read Colossians 1:9.  What does Paul pray for regarding the Colossian church?
