COURSE DESCRIPTION

 The Art of Mentoring  (25 Lectures)  A course that teaches you how to help others grow in Christ

COURSE RATIONALE

This course is designed to provide the student with a foundational understanding of the principles of mentoring. This understanding will provide the basis for effective ministry in the area of leadership and discipleship. The student will be prepared to take his or her place in the ministry of the church as it carries forth the work designed by its Savior and Founder.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course:

1.The student will understand the definitions of the various mentoring models

 

2. The student will be familiar with the mentoring model used by Old Testament biblical characters.

3. The student will familiar with the mentoring model used by Jesus in the New Testament.

4. The student will familiar with the mentoring principles of effective mentoring in the work of the church today.

 

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Instruction methods will include online lectures and assigned bible readings.

Student achievement will be evaluated by a multiple choice exam at the end of the course.
