COURSE DESCRIPTION

Women's Issues in Counseling   (16 Lectures)  Skills and techniques for counseling women.

COURSE RATIONALE

This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the unique requirements of women seeking counseling. A view will be considered toward understanding the specific needs of women seeking counseling in the church. The course will attempt to address the obligations placed upon those who seek to provide  biblical counseling to women.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course:

1. The student will understand the definitions of Christian psychology.

2. The student will understand the special  psychological needs of women

3. The student will understand the importance of the "presence of God" in counseling women.

4. The student will understand selected case studies related to the counseling of women.

 

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Instruction methods will include online lectures and assigned bible readings.

Student achievement will be evaluated by a multiple choice exam at the end of the course.
